Kasese United Football Club
Introduction
Kasese
United Football Club was formed to offer the town's
elite footballers the opportunity to progress and test themselves on a regular
basis outside and among cities and major towns of Uganda. Kasese United FC is a community football
club which plays in the Uganda Intercity Football League. The club is run
for the benefit of the local Kasese United community and it plays its home games at the
Booma Stadium.
The idea to establish the club and
to join Uganda Intercity Football League was developed by a group of Kasese
footballers and sportsmen in an attempt to further advance development
opportunities for the town’s current and future players by playing at higher
levels on a regular basis.
We are an independent community
football club which play in the Uganda Intercity Football League and Uganda
Intercity Mayors Cup. The club is owned and run for the benefit of the
local Kasese community and it plays its home games at the Booma Stadium.
The club's vision is to create, develop and maintain a sustainable, successful, financially viable, democratic football club that creates and maintains real and lasting benefits to its members and the local Kasese community. We are a registered organization and will remain a nonprofit organization with any financial surpluses being re-invested for the future viability of the club and hence the benefit of the local community. Although our club is very young, football in Kasese has a long history and we prospect to produce players who will grace to higher levels of the game.
