INTRODUCTION OF GATE STAR FOOTBALL CLUB – DIVISION TWO – EASTERN REGION, GHANA.

Gate Star Football Club was founded in 2003 as Colts Academy (under 17) League Club in the Eastern Region of Ghana, West Africa.

After beating mighty teams and winning competitive matches during the Third division Middle League Cup organized in the year 2007/2008., the Club qualified and was promoted into Division Two League by the R.F.A in Eastern Region of Ghana.

The Club is now the number one Division Two Football Club in the Eastern Regional League.

And reports from R.F.A and other media houses in Ghana confirmed that the Club currently has the best players in the Region who can make serious impact in any Division one and Premier League Cups both in Ghana and Abroad.

Please read a short profile about the Gate Star Football Club:

The Club has won 80% of all matches since it entered into Eastern Regional Division Two League in 2008, and has won the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Division Two League Cups respectively.

The club, for its first time participated in the FA cup competition alongside with the Premier Division Clubs and did credible well in the MTN FA Cup 2010|2011 Finals.

In 2010 the club was rated as one of the best team in Eastern Region of Ghana and the Chairman of the Club “Bishop Dr. David Adu Betle was elected as one of the best Chairman to represent Eastern Region Football Association in South Africa 2010 world cup.

The Club is also three times successive champions (2003, 2007and 2009) of KLOYOSIKPLEMI FESTIVAL GALA CUP in Ghana.

The Club has also won the first President’s National FARMER’s DAY MAIDEN CHALLENGE CUP in 2010 in Ghana.

The Team also played and won National and International friendly matches with leading Division One and Premier Teams in  The Republics of Ghana, Togo, Benin and Nigeria.
